CBS Sports Network to Televise the Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours

CBS Sports Network will televise the third round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, the Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours, for GT3 and GT4 sports cars scheduled on Sunday, Oct. 15, it was announced today.

The Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours, featuring GT3 and GT4 homologated sports cars in the third of the four-race International GT Challenge series, will be shown in two portions on the CBS Sports Network with the start of the eight-hour event from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. EDT and the finish from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EDT at the legendary 2.238-mile, 11-turn Laguna Seca circuit.

In addition, the middle portion – 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. – of the California 8 Hours will be televised worldwide on www.intercontinentalgtchallenge.com .

The Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours race is the inaugural event in North America for the SRO Motorsports organised International GT Challenge series which debuted last year in four continents. In 2017, the events started in Australia in February with the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour event followed by the Total 24 Hours of Spa in July. The tour finale is set for December 9 with the Motul Sepang 12-hour classic.

The announcing line-up for the Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours will be veterans Greg Creamer, Jeff Lepper, Jeremy Shaw and Shea Adam with pit reporters being Jake Query and Katie Osborne.
